Save your filtered lists as views and switch with tabs

Keep a filtered grid one click away: save it as a reusable view and flip between working lists with tabs.

Written by Plannit IT

You've built the perfect filtered list once — why rebuild it every time? Saved views let you keep a filtered, organized grid one click away, and tabs let you flip between several working lists side by side. Set it up once, and your "Hot leads", "Follow-up this week" or "Active commercial accounts" list is always right there.

Why you'll love it

  • ⚡ Stop rebuilding filters — save a view and reopen it instantly, even after signing out.

  • 🗂️ Switch lists in one click — keep multiple tabs open, each with its own filters.

  • 👥 Give your team a shared starting point — admins can publish a company-wide view everyone sees.

  • 🎯 Turn a one-off search into a reusable list — build it today, come back to it next week.

Tabs vs. views

Two simple ideas work together:

  • A view is a saved set of filters (and column choices) — your "Hot leads" definition.

  • Tabs are the saved views you keep open side by side on a grid, so you can jump between them in one click.

For example, on your Quotes grid you might keep a Pending tab and an Approved tab, each with its own filters, and switch between them instantly.

Saving a view

Building a view is just filtering, then saving:

  1. Open a grid (for example Contacts) and apply the filters you want — see the grid filters guide and labels guide to shape exactly the list you need.

  2. Adjust your columns if needed.

  3. Save the current state as a named view.

Next time you open the grid, your view is there — no rebuilding. Views are saved on your account, so they survive sign-out.

💡 Tip

Pair saved views with labels: tag your records, filter by those tags, then save the result as a view you reopen in one click.

Personal vs. company-wide views

A view can be saved for yourself or, if you're an admin, for the whole team:

  • Personal view — yours alone, for your day-to-day lists. Any user can create one.

  • Company-wide view (admins) — shared with everyone, so the whole team opens the same standard list.

⚠️ Heads up

Deleting a company-wide view removes it for all employees. Personal views only affect you.

Common use cases

  • Sales — keep a Hot leads tab and a Follow-up this week tab on Contacts and switch between them instantly.

  • Admins — save a company-wide Active commercial accounts view so every rep starts from the same list.

  • Everyone — build a one-off filtered list, save it as a personal view, and return to it next week without re-filtering.
