Update dates on multiple quotes or invoices at once

Need to correct a date or extend the due date on several quotes or invoices? Plannit now allows you to update dates on multiple documents in a single action, without having to open and edit each one individually.

This feature is available for both quotes and invoices.

How to update multiple dates at once

  1. Go to the Quotes or Invoices section.

  2. Select the quotes or invoices you want to update using the checkboxes.

  3. From the bulk actions menu, click Update dates.

  4. In the window that appears, enter the dates you want to change:

    • Quotes: Quote date and Due date.

    • Invoices: Billing date and Due date.

  5. Click OK to apply your changes.

The new dates will automatically be applied to all selected documents.

Update only one date

You don't have to update both dates.

For example, if you only want to extend the due date on several invoices:

  1. Select the invoices you want to update.

  2. Click Update dates.

  3. Enter the new Due date.

  4. Leave the Billing date field empty.

  5. Click OK.

Important: Only the fields where you enter a new date will be updated. Any fields left blank will keep their existing values.

Good to know

Due dates are not automatically recalculated.

Changing the quote date or billing date does not automatically adjust the due date based on the document's payment terms.

If you need to update both dates, make sure to enter both values in the same action.

Double-check your dates before confirming.

Plannit does not automatically verify whether the due date is on or after the quote or billing date.

Make sure the dates you enter are correct before applying the changes.

Be careful with previously processed documents.

Date changes may also be possible on certain invoices that have already been generated or paid, as well as quotes that have been accepted or declined.

We recommend avoiding date changes on these documents without first considering the potential administrative or accounting implications.

Voided invoices cannot be updated using this feature.
